With all the mixtapes and mixes going around the net it's very hard to always keep track and stay up to date with the newest and best. This however is one mix that I always seem to be going back to. The Gaslamp Killer definitley opened up the world of dubstep to me because he is able to carefully blend it with other genres that I really enjoy.
This is a pretty interesting project. Michael Crowe and Lenka Clayton plan on writing a personal hand-written letter to every single person in the world. They have started with the small Northern Irish town of Cushendall by sending all 467 households their own letter.

SOMEBODY PLEASE BUY ME THIS FOR ME! This is what I have been waiting so long for. With the Diana F+'s little sister Diana Mini, you can still shoot the traditional square format shots but now on 35mm film allowing development costs and hassle to be reduced! As an added feature, you can also shoot half-frame shots meaning that you can shoot up to 72 pictures on one roll of your usual 36 shot film! I was going to invest in the Golden-half camera, but now with the Diana Mini I can enjoy more features in one camera. There are two aperture settings, multiple exposure capability, bulb setting for those night shots and have I mentioned that it's pretty freaking small?! Get to it and get yourself one, today!!
This has been the anthem for the past three days. Now i'm back in 2009 again.
Dear readers, i'll be going on holiday in Croatia for a week and am not sure about how much access i'll have to the wonderful world of the interweb. That's why I leave you with a few visual goodies in the post below. I know it's not going to be enough, but no need to worry, i'll be back faster than you know it.
B: I have no interest in ever coming out. I figure there are enough self-opinionated assholes trying to get their ugly little faces in front of you as it is. You ask a lot of kids today what they want to be when they grow up, and they say, “I want to be famous.” You ask them for what reason and they don’t know or care. I think Andy Warhol got it wrong: in the future, so many people are going to become famous that one day everybody will end up being anonymous for 15 minutes. I’m just trying to make the pictures look good; I’m not into trying to make myself look good. I’m not into fashion. The pictures generally look better than I do when we’re out on the street together. Plus, I obviously have issues with the cops. And besides, it’s a pretty safe bet that the reality of me would be a crushing disappointment to a couple of 15-year-old kids out there.
What got you into graffiti? I know that you did more traditional graffiti at one point.
B: I come from a relatively small city in southern England. When I was about 10 years old, a kid called 3D was painting the streets hard. I think he’d been to New York and was the first to bring spray painting back to Bristol. I grew up seeing spray paint on the streets way before I ever saw it in a magazine or on a computer. 3D quit painting and formed the band Massive Attack, which may have been good for him but was a big loss for the city. Graffiti was the thing we all loved at school – we all did it on the bus on the way home from school. Everyone was doing it.
Tor samples indie legend, Sufjan Stevens to come up with this mash-up that includes the likes of Aesop Rock, Big Daddy Kane, Gift of Gab (Blackalicious), C.L. Smooth, Outkast, Brother Ali, and Grand Puba. Really worth a listen.
